We drove South to Navajo Lake which is near Pagosa Springs on the Colorado/New Mexico border. The lake is approximately 35 miles long and the majority of the lake is in New Mexico. This was our first time to this lake and it was awesome.... definitely worth the 5 1/2 hour drive.
There were very few people on the lake and the water was like glass.
We rented a house in Pagosa Springs with some good friends of ours and spent three days on the lake and then drove to Mesa Verde and visited the ruins another day. It was a great vacation and we hope to make this annual trip.
Braedon tried knee boarding for the first time and was a natural.
